Ford Focus Electric Announced

Gas-free driving is just around the corner.

The 2012 Focus Electric runs exclusively on electricity stored in powerful, state-of-the-art batteries and never needs a drop of gas or an oil change.
It has standard advanced technologies like MyFord Touch® with unique EV content, the MyFord® Mobile app, Intelligent Access with push-button start, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, a rear view camera, Reverse Sensing System and rain-sensing wipers. And if you purchase the available 240-volt charging station, you’ll be able to charge your Focus Electric in about half the time of the 2012 Nissan Leaf. Plus the Focus Electric comes with a 6.6 kW onboard charger that allows the Ford recommended Leviton charging station to fully charge in 3-4 hours.

For Focus Electric, eco-conscious comes standard. The cloth seat fabric is made with REPREVE® fiber, produced from 100% recycled materials, and the cushions are made of bio-based foam derived from plant seed oils.

The 2012 Focus Electric starts at $39,200 MSRP* and you have an exclusive opportunity to be one of the first to reserve it with an EV Certified dealer. Only a limited number will be produced for the 2012 model year, so here’s your chance to get a head start on owning yours.

Reservations with EV dealers for the new 2012 Focus Electric will only be available for the 2012 model year. And since selling and servicing will begin with the California and New York/New Jersey areas, check the EV dealer listing to find the nearest location and future markets. Reserve now to be one of the first to receive your Focus Electric in 2012!**
